OK after trying this and looking at that, it seems something in the front cable is binding at the end of the travel. I can get it in place if I lock a vise grip on the adjuster and give it a smack with a hammer, I did this a few times thinking it may loosen up. No luck, will pick up a new cable next ...

Hello, My park brake pedal has been loose for sometime, so I decide to have a look at it finally. The brake light comes on and the bell dings. I have just been pulling it up with my foot. So I was thinking it was just an adjustment, but that has not helped. At the caliper the park brake does come up ...
