Re: 1995 SSEi ABS Issue
Again, guys, thanks so much for the input and direction. I took her out today , and she was the perfect Lady. Scary. Even though the front pads are really good, I'm thinking about going ahead with the slotted rotors and ceramic pads at either the Dealership or a different brake shop, and see what ...

Re: 1995 SSEi ABS Issue
My sentiments exactly. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Haven't thought about the wheel speed sensors, or I/O pressure, because I didn't realize the impact on ABS. Think I'll take her by the Dealership (got a buddy down there, but I can't get in touch with him because he works all the time), and ...

Re: 1995 SSEi ABS Issue
I agree, to a certain point. I have years of experience in Commercial, Industrial, and Military electronics, and this shows all the classic signs of a relay "sticking". But I don't know in this case. Do you agree with the scenario of waiting for it to happen again, and going straight to the dealer ...

Re: 1995 SSEi ABS Issue
Yes, everything returned to normal except for, in my opinion, excessive pedal travel. I have no bleed-down at a stop light, so I don't think that the master cylinder has a problem. The tech didn't have the equipment to pull the codes on a 1995, so he disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to clear ...

1995 SSEi ABS Issue
Hi folks:
Got a 95 SSEi w/ 90K miles on her. This has happened twice. I can go into extensive detail, and will be glad to if someone can steer me in the right direction.
I always run Traction Control, Performance Shift, and Performance Ride.
On 2 different occasions, I have started her up ...

Resident Gearhead:

Re: Newbie needs help! Steering wheel radio controls.
All dead. Got the car 2-1/2 years ago-got <88K miles. Controls wew dead when I bought it. After I drove it I didn't care.
Have checked out site but everything being inoperable at once makes me think connection. This was a NC beach car owned by a retired docor or dentist. Already found corroded ...

Newbie needs help! Steering wheel radio controls.
Radio controls on steering wheels are dead.
Am good at electronics of all types but this is my 1st GM, I'm 53 and I can't get to the places I used to be able to. Is there already a solution posted that I have missed? Need guidance to know where to start troubleshooting. No sign of OEM unit (AM/FM ...

Re: HVAC Blower Problem
Had the same problem in my 95 summer before last. 99.9% sure it's the control module as willwren said.
The sad part is, this is a $25.00 integrated circuit but there is no way to determine the pin-out and all pins are not used. $120.00 is about what I paid to replace mine. If I had known what the ...

Re: battery cables?
Yes guys, I'm a Bonneville Newbie.
The multiple tap positive battery connnections on my 95 SSEi tend to come just loose enough that electrics and electronics work but car won't start. Very embarassing in public.
Lead post with 2 lead positive connectors held down wih a steel bolt is not good ...

Re: New Member
I'm one too.
Not a picture of my car but that is a pretty car.
Got a Black 1995 SSEi w/ 87K actual miles, Gold Lace wheels, all the goodies-rides like a Lasy-Boy, drives like a cat, and can scare you to death.
Thanks for the welcome.
Even though we are both idiots!
Got a lot to learn about this car ...
