I keep looking around for some answers for this stuff but cant seem to find anything. So I figured this was the best place to ask.
I have no lights in any of my window switches (they all work fine.) or in the wands for my cruise and wipers and all that stuff. Is there a way to fix them with out ...

just a heads up if there is enough bump the ribbon harness will wiggle freeish from the adapter. put a couple zip ties on it to keep it connected this happened to me and the bad connection made my car tell me unknown driver and it wouldn't even turn over... took me a week to figure out! the zip ties ...

well guys just an update but ya'll are correct.. tranny has to come out unfortunately.. but oh well found a good mechanic to take care of it for 400.
should have it back in a couple of days!. then gonna tear it apart and do the intake gaskets to make sure this car is right before this baby gets here ...

check these out where the leak is coming from under the motor is extremely similar to my problem im gonna pull the dust cover when I rent the pressure tester and pray I don't have to pull the tranny... doesn't really look like a bad job tho.

altho now thinking about it it couldn't be for timing the hole is on the back of the motor all the timing would be done on the front of the motor under the harmonic balancer. so that theory is out

oh I just don't like her jeep that's all! its an 08 grand Cherokee Laredo. get this.. 2WD!! itll barely go threw 6 inches of snow! that's interesting about timing marks. yea ive done lim gaskets 5 or 6 times now on different things. this will be my second on a 3800. ive got that down no problem.

nope no dex-cool for this guy! yea I know what ya mean. thinking about trying to rent a boroscope too. I really wanna know where this *dang* hole goes. its driving me nuts driving my gfs jeep! I hate that thing!

ive looked and looked and cant find anywhere that's leaking externaly. when it warms up there is a steady stream of steam coming out of that vent hole. I know my intake gaskets were starting to go anyway. was just hoping it would wait until it was warmer out def don't want to go do it when its 10 ...

Ok well problem is solved. It was the connection in between the stereo interface and the stock ribbon harness. It had just simply wiggled apart a bit. And when I happened to stop it it just a bad connection. We were able to wiggle the radio to reproduce the unknown driver message and then wiggle it ...

Well my friend got it to start today. By actually hitting the eject button on my DVD player. Going to take all the after market stuff out tomorrow and a brand new battery and see how it acts.

Any clue what they charge to program the pcm if I do end up having to go that route? My other thought was could it be somewhere in the data bus wires for all the doors and such? I've already repaired that splice under the seat once. Could that be screwed up again but bad enough to just really ...

Plus my issue is going to be trying to find a scanner that can talk to the modules to see which one is weird. I have a pregnant girlfriend at home and can't really afford very much. Ya know?
