Nope. I'm fairly new to the area and young so I don't know anyone with a garage or tools.

Re: TRANSMISSION PROBLEM???

I was just coming on here to post about the same issue and am so glad I came across this post. Mine was only doing it occasionally before but it seems to be happening a bit more frequently now.

It also sounds like the engine runs/revs at a higher pitch once the car starts shifting hard. Is this a ...

Re: 2000 SSEi Supercharger Belt

You MIGHT get him in trouble. I'd leave corporate out. They likely have a policy limiting their sales staff from working on cars in the parking lot. His manager will have more of a direct influence on any raises or shift preferences anyway.

And well done on the follow-up. This is the kind of topic ...

I gave him $20, talked to his manager, and e-mail corporate about what he did.

Re: 2000 SSEi Supercharger Belt

How do I get the remaining piece of belt off of this? It's on there really well and I don't have any clue on how to get it off. The one right in the middle of the picture.

Re: 2000 SSEi Supercharger Belt

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I'm an absolute noob when it comes to working on my car so does anyone have a picture tutorial on how to do it?

Also, part of the belt is still really stuck on one of the wraparound pieces. Guess I need to start working at getting that off.

2000 SSEi Supercharger Belt

Hey guys. It's been ages since I've posted on here but I still lurk around from time to time. I hope everyone is well and it's nice to see a lot of the regulars still here.

Red Rocket is still doing well but run into a little hiccup today. I went to my local oil change place and noticed that the ...

Re: Factory CD player/aftermarket amp+subs

There have been tons of threads recently talking about this stuff. I went with the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.1 and absolutely love it. Other similar options include the JL CleanSweep and MTX ReQ.

Re: Central PA Meet November 2 in Gettysburg

Is this going to be just a picture kind of meet?

I'm not really sure. It depends on who shows up and what everyone wants to do. For the most part, I think that we will be driving around Gettysburg National Park taking in the sites and some pictures as well. I'm sure we could go grab dinner later ...

Central PA Meet November 2 in Gettysburg

Putertopia and I are planning on meeting up at Gettysburg National Park on November 2nd so that I can give him the FSMs from my old 94 that he now has. We are planning on meeting around noon at the visitor's center (waiting to hear back on this). Gettysburg has tons of beautiful scenery and is ...

Re: little bump

As for the rattling and such, I don't think Bonnevilles have that much of a problem. 1337ssei's 97 SSEi almost completely hides the bass even to people immediately outside the car with all doors and such closed. I stood right next to the trunk with the bass cranked up all the way, and the running ...

Re: little bump

It really depends on what you are looking for. I have had a few sets of 12"s, a few sets of 15"s, and a few sets of 10"s as well. I personally love the deep rumble of a set of 15"s, but I had a friend that had three 10" Bazooka subs in his car and it sounded great. Not as much rumble as with the ...

Re: Installing Rokford Fosgate 3sixty.1 in 2000+

It's going to be difficult for your car because you don't have an easy place to tap your speakers besides in the rears.

That is why I was planning on buying a male and female DAL connectors, bridging all of the pins except the speaker cables as a straight through connection and sending the ...

Re: Installing Rokford Fosgate 3sixty.1 in 2000+

Ok, that helps.

All of the factory HUs from 2000-2005 are the same. They all use the Dock N Lock system so there are no wires. If you use the DAL connector, I'm pretty sure you will lose the functionality of your chimes and such because the radio is not plugged into dock connector. Only an ...

Re: Installing Rokford Fosgate 3sixty.1 in 2000+

Simply use the wiring diagram from the FSM to locate which color wires control what in the rear and tap the rear speaker leads.

I do not believe that all of the wires are in one place at the rear of the car in a non-Monsoon equipped Bonneville. The wires go from the HU to the speakers. Can ...
