Re: Oil consumption gremlin
I did replace the PCV but I guess it could be defective. Maybe I will just put in another 1.

Re: Oil consumption gremlin
Not sure what angle but if it leaked out a bad oil pan gasket why would the oil pressure gauge start jumping around?

Re: Oil consumption gremlin
I don't think it's burning left over oil cause I've put on 3000km. It runs great all the time but after climbing a steep grade it burns oil heavily for a minute. Then it clears up and runs great again. The new PCV and Orings were very tight in the new UIM but I am pretty sure I got them installed ...

Oil consumption gremlin
My 2000 SLE was using a litre of oil every 1000km(625miles). It only has 90000km(56000miles) on the car. I decided to change the UIM just as a precaution. When I removed the UIM there was a lot of oil in between the UIM and the LIM and it seemed to be coming through the PCV. I decided to change the ...

Re: Stuck intake
Thanks for the help. I got the LIM gaskets, valve cover gaskets and the new Dorman UIM installed. It runs great, doesn't smoke or anything but now the service engine soon light is on. The only thing I noticed during the job was the pressure sensor above the PCV didn't fit the new dorman parts very ...

Re: Stuck intake
I am upgrading the upper right now. My car only has 90000km on it and it uses a litre of oil every 1000km. It seems like it was blowing a lot of oil up thru the PVC valve. I was changing the upper and decided to do the lower gaskets, the valve covers and the new dorman upper intake. Hope that solves ...

Re: Stuck intake
Ok I'm a fool. Just found the hidden bolts. They are sitting in a pool of oil. Which is the reason I am taking it apart. The car has been using oil and after taking off the upper I found the top of the lower full of oil. It seemed to blow the oil up thru the PVC valve. If you know anything about ...

2000 SLE center tail light
I am trying to remove the center tail light from my 2000 SLE. I removed the liner inside the trunk lid and removed the 4 nuts but how do the 2 clips near the top release.

Re: trunk leak issues
My center tail light lens is also full of water on my 2000 Bonneville. I'm trying to remove it but after removing the trunk lid liner and removing the four nuts it is very tight near the top. How do you get the lens to pop off the top clips

Bonneville loyalty
Hello. I am a new member from Saskatchewan Canada. I owned a 1992 Bonneville SE for 13years and loved it. I took a brief down grade to a grand am, but now I just bought a 2000 Bonneville SLE with 80000km :) It is in beautiful condition but yet has a lot of the common factory defects. Hopping this is ...
