While waiting for my GM parts Dealer to open I poked around on the web to see if I could get a general range on the cost for a bottom end rebuild/upgrade. I want to put an L67 bottom end in my L27 so I can use my NOS kit. It's supposed to be a direct fit. I was thinking like $500 or such for pistons, rings, bearings and rods. I finally found a site that carried these parts except the rings. It was around $1340 without rings or shipping. Is this madness or do pistons and rods actually run $100 apiece?

Kris, you already have two other topics on this subject going. Since one is slightly different, we're letting them both ride. 3 topics is too much. Please continue in your other topic in this section.

And you're still missing my point. FORGET the rebuild. If you want to NOS or Turbo your L27 go to the WRECKER and get an L67. There is no rebuild in that advice.
