So this is wonderful, I'm about to go pickup my pizza and I find out my car won't start. Wonderful... It'll turn over fine, so it's not a battery problem, it just won't start! It's a mild day today, around 40 degrees, so I don't think it's cold-related. It was, however, sitting for about a week without being started. It sputters a bit ever few seconds, and it smells like gas so I think it's getting fuel, but it just won't start. I have a few theories, can an FPR completely cut off the fuel if frozen? One of my dad's mechanics gave me that idea, but I really don't know if it's possible. I tested the fuel pressure a couple months ago and it was a steady 42psi, which is within specs. Idk what it could be, hopefully it's nothing that expensive because I'm broke, haha

Check for spark by pulling a plug wire and sticking an old plug in the lead. Lay it on something with a good ground and have someone turn it over.

see that's the thing, I'm at school and don't have any used plugs! lol. Yeah I'm kinda at a disadvantage... I'll see if I can find some and I'll get back to you

You can also check for spark by removing one of the wires on the coil and when you crank it over you will see spark jump from the top of the coil tower to the base of the coil pack.

Tried that the last few times I tried to start it, no go, does the exact same thing

Well thanks anyways, guys, but my parents are loaning me some money to get this fixed, so I'm taking it to the dealer. I just don't have time to mess around with it; the school's going to kick me out on Saturday for spring break (dorm living sucks, lol).

Did you try unplugging the MAF and then try starting it?

The last time I tried to start it, it backfired and popped off the PCV valve retainer so I'm just not going to mess with it anymore.
