No it has NOTHING to do with the new Impala. The new Impala is on the Epsilon Platform.

The new CTS is on the Sigma II Platform (which is exclusive to Cadillac), which is closely related to the Zeta and some of the parts are interchangable.

The VF SS is on the Zeta Platform which is HOLDEN developed and other than the Camaro, is Holden specific. Meaning no other car in North America, other than some parts interchabbility with the SigmaII above, shares ANYTHING platform wise with the SS.

So with that in mind it isn't a cookie cutter, high volume, GM vehicle like a Bonneville (which is where I think you're trying to make a sensationalistic rebuttal to my comments posted in other threads). It's platform shares nothing with any other vehicle in GM's portfolio other than the Camaro (which uses it).

And I think it's safe to say that both the CTS and the Holden cars are pretty well documented as being exemplary vehicles from a performance standpoint and as a great drivers car. That can be traced to the fact that their specific performance variants offer V8's, choice of automatic or manual transmissions, spinning through the proper axle of the vehicle, rewarding their drivers with an outstanding driving experience.

I'm begining to wonder if you're just being petty and trying to make an impact statement in regards to things I've posted regarding Bonneville's or if you REALLY understand GM cars. By that I mean, you confused my STS-V with a V-sport. Cadillac has never made a smurfing STS-Vsport. Then you questioned whether it could run a 12.9 when in fact they run low 13's off the showroom floor. Then you asked above if it was related to the Impala. Other than sharing an emblem and styling cues, NO!

Things I would like to do before Woodward

1) Install a larger heat exchanger for the intercooler on the V. One of the "V" guys makes a complete turn-key setup. SO instead of 3 - 4 runs before my IAT2's go into meltdown range, I now get 6 - 7.

2) Complete stem to stern detailing with my FLEX.
