The junkyard trans gave out today. I got the original trans on the bench in my garage waiting for me to be able to afford the rebuild kit and do the work. Well now that she is down again(and probably for a while) i think im gonna do that timing cover gasket and the gears/chain myself. I almost thought about just getting rid of the Bonnie III, but i have put in so much work already and so many new parts. Aside from the trans and the timing cover gasket there is basically nothing wrong at all with her (still only 81,800 original miles on an 87). What u guys think keep it/fix it or sell it/part out?

Keep it definitely. Once you get that stuff done there's not much more to go wrong (knocks on wood.)
