It looks sooooo awesome! Can someone let me know how to do this?

Been thinking about doing mine but I don't have quite enough 1080 film left.

Is there a particular brand that's better than others? And should it be adhesive? Is there a write-up somewhere?

Doing this to my car this week, just ordered a 24"x60" roll off ebay for $10. Figure that should be enough for all four doors and maybe a little bit of experimenting ;)

Was it 3M 1080 film?

Yes sir I just searched 1080 Carbon fiber and the pic has a roll and 3M on it. Even if it isnt, if it holds up I won't complain for $10

That's really cheap for 3M 1080 carbon fiber, i think I paid over $20 for a 12"x60" roll. I'll have to go to ebay next time, i think mine came off Amazon. Did you get free shipping?

Shipping was $5 so I guess total was $15 but $10 for the product itself.

Okay, just got my vinyl!

How exactly do I remove the trim from the car? I'm talking the bottom trim, not the side trim. My car is black and the side trim still looks okay so I'm thinking of just wrapping the ugly part beneath the window. Does anyone know how?

LOTS of Mods
you have to remove the mirrors to get the front off, and then they just clip in. Same with the back

What about the top trim around the top of the windows and the trim that separates the main window from the back smaller window (on the driver and passenger side rear windows)?

I think that’s just part of the door. Why do you want to remove everything from the car so badly? I think its way easier to work with when the pieces you are wrapping are locked into a stationary position. (still on the car)

Never thought about it that way! I figured it would be easier to hold them in my hands, but that makes some good sense!

The window trim pries up with a putty knife or something similar after you remove the mirror.
