Started a new thread because this is a new problem.

HP Tuners showed 0 missfires on any cylinder even tho the PCM posted the P0300 code. Cylinder balances were all between 91% and 93%. Exhaust velocity/volume feels (by hand) to be good. I am going to replace the fuel filter tomorrow and put the original plug wires back on it to see what happens.

What indiciation would I have if the LIM gasket was bad? I found no evidence of oil or water pooling anywhere.

If you guys have any other ideas or info please let me know.

Look at the oil, and see if there's coolant, and vice versa. The only real way to know is to tear the intake off and replace them with the Aluminum framed gaskets.

Checked the oil and the coolant. Both clean and good to go.

I'd flush (or have flushed) the Dex-Cool, unless it's already been done. Dex-Cool is orange, mixes with any color is light green.

I had a similar problem recently, my car would start to stutter for lack of a better discription. It would only do it under load and when I started to make boost. After changing plugs, and wires. It turned out to be a bad coil and a clogged injector, since changing the coil and cleaning the injectors, no more issues.

This is a diagram of the LIM. Check for any type of liquid or pooling near the bolts, and any indentations - both front and back of the engine. However, if you bought the car from a dealer, it could have been cleaned up.

Instead of putting the old wires back on, I'd suggest going to NAPA and buying a set of the Belden premium wires. You'll want good wires anyway, so why change them again later?

Was a live scan done when the problem showed up, watching for misfires on all the cylinders?

Thanks Ed,
Here is the question. Wouldn't Hp Tuners show me which coil pack was bad?

Archon,
Yes, when Dan got here, the P0300 could was there. He reset it, we let the car warm up (idle) then took it out. He set HP tuners to monitor each cylinder. Eased it up to speed and boost. Started making about 4lbs and the miss started. The SES started blinking and HP tuners showed the p0300 code again. It did not log any missfire from any of the cylinders.
