The problem is not the left rear passengers window that doesn't work at all, it's the two front windows.

From the drivers controls you can lower the front passenger window but cannot raise it. From the passenger seat you cannot lower the window but can only raise it.....WTF?? :???:

From looking at my 95 FSM, I am thinking one of the switches has a contact that is stuck. Does it prevent the window from going up when the lock-out is engaged?

Now that I look at it more, I am going to say to check for continuity between the leads going to pin B on both switches. This should be a continuous connection. If it is open then that would explain the oposing functions. This is also taking into account that the motor is grounded.

The circuits are cross wired. When the drivers door commands the down signal, the return is supplied through the passenger down contacts and the drivers up contacts.

x2 - it's in the switches. PM me with an email address if you want a wiring diagram.

You could take the switches apart & clean the contacts on the 89's. I believe the 94's were the same but not 100% sure. There are lots of tiny little springs in there that make reassembly a challenge.

Thanks Matt I got your PM of the circuit diagram.
I'm still not sure what I should be looking for?? I pulled both door switches and lubbed them with silicone but other than look at the wiring, that's all I could do.

Would it just be a bad switch? Drivers or passenger? I can't believe it could be a broken wire.......

When you have the switches out, check for continuity through all 4 sets of contacts (2 on each switch). On the drivers switch you should have continuity between A and E, B and E. On the passengers switch D and B, C and E. While you have them out check between the wire side of B on each switch, this will check the wire between the switches.

I am thinking it has to be either one of the switches not making contact in the neutral state or the wire in between.

Has there been any work done in the dash lately or in the doors (speakers, stereo) that might have caused a rub?

Yes I replaced the door speakers last month....

I'll check continuity as you advised. Thanks.

are the ground bus's in good shape? mine would do funky stuff like put windows down but not up and do certain seat functions but not others when the bus's were bad.

Grounds certainly can be a problem with these cars!

The dash gauges, other than the fuel, tach and speedo, don't work properly.

Why do I even care about the windows? I can still reach over and operate the window from the drivers seat.

.....and besides, a new switch is probably $100.

Everything works in the Bullet, so that's all that matters right now.....knock on wood. :-$
