1st Issue, I wanted to use the cigarette lighter to charge my phone, but the CL didn't work. I checked the Fuse box and I noticed the one that controls the CL is missing, I tried to replace it however I then realized that the blades from the fuse are in there yet the plastic part is gone, how can I remove the fuse?

2nd I bought one of those bluetooth OBDII scanners, I've had one before and lost it so I bought a replacement, anyways so I just bought this car 97' SSE. and the gauges seem to be malfunctioning specially the Fuel gauge, so I decided to use Torque Pro and a OBDII to keep up with my fuel level, however it didn't work, I thought that maybe it was the OBDII scanner but then the AC and Radio started malfuctioning, the radio didnt work at all and the AC turned on by it self without me being able to turn it off. When I unplugged the OBDII the AC and Radio came back to normal. Anyone have any idea on what the issue might be? :withstupid: :hail: :sadeyz: :sadeyz: :sadeyz:

surely this is a stupid question, but do I have to disconnect the battery? I ask because I've heard the radio locks up and you have to use the radio code, however my radio's display does not work so how will I know if it works and also where do I find the code? My car came with the vehicle manual would it be in there?

Disconnecting the battery would be the safest bet, but the primary concern is ensuring that the pliers or contact touch nothing else. If you arc to ground or put voltage where it doesn't belong, there could be trouble.

well actually it was both me and the car parts lady who got confused she sold me something other than the regular automobile fuses, I didn't realize till a week later when I finally tried to remove the "broken fuse blades" they weren't fuse blades they belonged in there, once I used the right fuse it slid right in.
