Hello All,
Looking for a replacement throttle body for a plain ole, 2001 Bonne 3.8 non-turbo.
Seems there's few or no replacements, including rebuilt or performance swaps.
Maybe somewhere that rebuilds? Would rather not try used.

What happened to yours?

A used one should be just fine. Andrew (Harofreak00) on this board might have one laying around for you in good shape. Check out Bonnevilles Unlimited.

Mechanic says he tried cleaning but no luck.
I’d love to find someone that rebuilds these.
I found a supposedly new replacement. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Our throttle body is pretty simple and robust. All it has to do is rotate. Does it get stuck? It's not even electric like most these days.

The big issue was that the engine would die when idling for over 3 minutes. Didn’t matter if in Park or Drive, AC on or off, warm or cold, etc. Would always restart, but very annoying.
Just got it back from the shop, and oh baby, what a difference! Now silky smooth and no more dying.
Noticed the original is made by Hitachi. And it was absolutely coated in carbon.
Still searching for someone to clean and rebuild the original with new seals, sensors, etc.
Please let me know if there are any U.S. based companies.
