On my l67 swap I am using a gen 5 m90 with a northstar throttle body. I am looking at intercooling it and using a full height intercooler. Does anyone know if this will clear the hood? Or should I just use a short stack intercooler?

Thanks

It might be close, can you mock it up with a piece of wood under the blower that's the same height as the full stack?

IIRC, Todd Allen had a full height intercooler on 8 Ball, with the Gen 3. It cleared except for the small threaded piece on the top of the fuel rail that holds down the sight shield.

Oops, that's right. I failed to remember we're dealing with a '96.

Unfortunatly, the engine is on the stand right now. So I guess the plan moving forward will to be installing the engine without the intercooler and mocking it up to height once the engine is in.

I'd venture to guess that the 92-99 has more clearance than a 2000. My 2004 fits the GenV and full stack IC with no issues.

you could always lower the sub frame with spacers a tiny bit to gain some room as well as make sure you have a solid front mount so you dont have a lot of movement out of the motor..
