Thanks to everyone who posted on this topic in the past and the various solutions. My local shop is giving me a great price to actually replace the PCS ($300) so I have decided to go that route. My question to the group is are there other things I should have replaced while he is in there? (I just changed the trans filter 5K ago)

Also - The Triple Edge web site talkes about a dirty MAF possibly causing the issue. Has anyone seen this to be the case?

Install the TransGo shift kit, and put in synthetic ATF.

This will help ease the burden on the PCS and extend the transmission's life. I installed a TransGo shift kit and put in synthetic ATF ~20k miles ago and have nothing but glowing reviews to say about the combination.
