About a week ago, my airbag light started going on and off intermittently, now it stays on and the DIC say's "Service Airbag System". Would this be a simple sensor or cost hundreds of dollars and where/how should I start looking to fix this prob?

The only way to tell for sure where the problem is would be to have it scanned with a Tech II or other scanner that can read the codes for the system. Have you had any water leaks in the interior? If so, you could check the connections under the seats for corrosion. The ABS module sits on top of the center hump, under the center console, and isn't as likely to get corroded.

No water leaks as far as I'm aware. I guess it's off to the dealership for a TII scan.
