Got her a while back now but haven't really done much to her until recently. She's a running restoration, but want to keep her ratty, so I know she won't be to everyone's taste.

The grill and light surrounds were looking bad so I matt blacked them to match the body. The trim was hanging off so have removed that. I have a new trunk seal and new window channel that I'm fitting tomorrow. I'm fitting a new exhaust soon and am looking at a new carb because the quadrajet is playing up. I'm also trying to fix the drivers side window as the channel it sits in keeps slipping off, then once that's done I'm going to retrim the door cards and get a new carpet.

I'M also roping parts of the bumpers to give her a bit more of a rat look.

And here she is on my folks drive with my old mans Lincoln.

We're in the U.K. So it is slow progress sourcing and waiting for parts to arrive. I'm hoping the majority of the work will be complete by the weekend. The defog, heater and central locking have stopped working so have an auto electrician coming to help me sort those next week.

Looking forward to the show season!

Actually, I think it looks good. Along the lines of MadMax apocalypse machine.

I'm actually shocked that a Bonneville of that vintage made it's way over there, much less a coupe.

That is BA. I would not tango with that thing on a highway merge.

It was actually bought over pretty much from the factory in '79. I believe it's the only one of its kind in Europe. It gets a lot of attention from people that have a clue about cars. I also get asked a worryingly large amount if it's a mustang!!! Some people are just stupid.

I'm in Chelmsford, essex and I do plan on going to a few shows this year. The AACI nationals at Jelmarsh are two I plan to be at and the *dang* yankees at north Weald is another good one. A couple of local meets and the Pontiac owners one are also on my list.

Can you suggest any others?

The nsra swap meet is this Sunday at Essex Arena, Wheels Day at Aldershot is a good one day show on Good Friday.
I will be at the AACI shows at Kelmarsh Hall, I would like to make it to the *dang* Yankees show, I haven't been for a few years.
I drove right past Chelmsford yesterday to pick up a mopar engine from the other side of Ipswich.
I'll look out for your car, won't be hard to spot it!. :)

Roger.

Nice! I think these cars are good for the ratty vibe, they'll never be high-dollar collectors, so you might as well make them unique and to your taste. If others don't like it, they can, as you brits say, bugger off! lol

It's my daily drive so I'm sure you'll spot it around at some point!
