I'd love to see some pics of your ride on 20s if you got 'em (and what tire size your using as well)

I've seen so many new model cars coming from the factory with 20s that the size thing is growing on me a bit...and the selection of wheels in the aftermarket is pretty vast as well (yes, I'm still looking at gold accent wheels) ;)

20" are the absolute perfect wheels for these cars in my opinion. There are good and bad wheels depending on the style, but I love 20" on them.

I have to admit those 20in Snowflake wheels on the Trans Am at the car show are still working on my head. I'll never pony up $3K for those but I'd love to find something close.

Depending on certain factors, 20s can end up being about the same price as 18s as well. I like 20s on 00+ and the selection is very impressive. Not to mention I can always use more room for my brakes.

Currently running 18x8.5 +35, 235/50 tires but swapping to 245/45s next week...trying a touch more clearance to stop the inner fender rubbing.

Those 20s look boss, Yonkers!

Where are you rubbing with 235/50s? Thats stock size for a gxp. Also pretty narrow for an 8.5" wheel.

Im shopping in the 20X8.5-9.0 range with 32-38mm offsets. I just played with my wheel rite tool today and the width and offset you have are pretty ideal. Im looking to run 255/35-20 which has a ~10 tread width and a 27" diameter.

My GXP with the stock wheel and tire combo managed to rub the inner fender at full lock. :dontknow:

There is a welt on the inner fender panel on the passenger side and when I turn right at slow speeds it rubs, especially under braking. The 235/50-18s are just slightly taller than the stock 235/55-17s on the sawblade wheels.

Yes, the sidewalls are bowed out slightly, another reason I think the new 245/45s will work better.

You really think ~.2" diameter difference is going to do the trick? The added width might screw with you. There are folks running wider tires than that, so Ill bet youll be fine.

I have wheels and tires picked out but Im still not sure if I really want to run that small of a sidewall.

I had 245/45-18s on my GP and was pretty happy with them...hope they work as well this time. Dont know how Yonkers is getting by with those 245/45-20s...yikes those are big.

Those are quite large, but he has a lot less offset, so the tires poke out just a tiny bit, presumably leaving more room behind them.

I had 245/45-18 on my 92 Bonneville. I had to roll my rear fenders and I had some rubbing up front. It was definatwly worth it for the look and handling.

I was really close to getting TSW Nurburgrings in 18x8 to put on the G8... going with the lightweight route. Tomorrow, I'm putting a deposit down on something else though :-$

I've been eyeballing those. Great looking wheels.

I also really like the enkei raijin in 18x9 I think. If I went the 20" route there a pot less options that I like, but tires are actually cheaper than the 18s.

I'm seeing the opposite on the G8. Tire prices go WAY up from 19" to 20". Granted, I'm shopping WIDE tires...

245/45s are on and even though a bit shorter and leaving a slight wheelwell gap, I still like the look and the rubbing appears to be gone :)

Unfortunately, now the vibration issue is back and tomorrow I'll have to pull wheels and make sure my centric rings werent lost.

Can nothing ever be easy with this car?
