245/45/18 and 245/35/20 are roughly the same price.

Oddly enough, 245/40/19 is generally more expensive.

Just an example...

And 19" is always more money. Its not as common. 17" used to be super expensive as well because it wasnt as common as 16 or even 18.

Yeah, I was looking at 275/30 for the rear. That's where it gets expensive...

Would those wheels fit on a Bonneville based on the bold pattern/offset?

I don't think I've ever seen that car but I love the hood and faux diffuser. Not digging the wheels or the spoiler. I don't like big lips on narrow wheels.

I don't really think that is a big lip at all, looks like probably a 9 " wide wheel.

I, on the other hand hate a flat faced wheel with no lip at all...and mostly why I have such a hard time picking wheels because there are so few with a bent spoke dish.

I also found the local shop lost two of my hub centric rings. Of course they feigned ignorance to the whole thing so I ordered another set. I guess I would be more prone to argue if they were more expensive. The kid doing the mounting work looks like he can barely find his thumbs so I suppose I shouldnt be surprised. Next time I bring him wheels only and the car will sit on stands until I mount them myself.

I have modified my front inner fenders a bit to help with rubbing during turning. Think I have it all corrected except at full lock with the car rarely sees.

The rears were rubbing a bit on large bumps. I rolled the fenders and it helped immensely. Still touch a tad on real sharp bumps.

Because of the tire prices, I figured I would get a set of wheels with good tires and try like heck to make them fit. So far I have been successful. I have put about 1500 miles on them and been pleased. Once these tires wear out I may go a different route for rims. That's a ways down the road though.

You're kidding, right? That's been the most popular look in aftermarket wheels. Just now starting to go more flat face. It's been hard as heck for me to find 20s without hugely curved faces and big fake lips. And I say fake lips because if the face has to be curved to have a lip, the wheel didn't need a lip in the first place. Just doesn't look sporty, and that's what I'm after... Personal taste aside, it all depends on how you search. Looking for 5x115 will get you limited results. 5x114.3 or 5x4.5 has worked very well.

No kidding at all. IMO the flat faced wheel was a result of FWD positive offset as opposed to RWD drive dish. FWD is here to stay, but even Chip Foose, who designs many of his own wheels is a fan of a deep lip. His reasoning is that when the wheel is turning, you only see the lip and not the spokes. I've seen a few flat faced wheels I didnt mind, and the factory B'ville sawblades are one of them. But yes, I'll take a lip wheel any day.

Meh, Tp each his own but I can't stand convex faces.

However, in 20", that's a very popular style. 20x8.5 or 8 in a +35 is very popular for Chrysler lx cars and we all know how many people like huge lips on those cars.

I'm not typically a fan of lips either. Flat face looks better IMO 95% of the time.
