I should be getting the hood, trunk and fenders here soon. Hopefully that helps alot with how the car looks. I figured someone would catch that, but the magnet wasnt in that pic. I had it out to clean the pan and I forgot to put it in for that pic. But its in and hopefully doing a better job than before.

That car does have keyless right? Most of the time they will have AU0 when they have keyless, but sometimes it can be part of a package and I see you have a 1SE, should be a loaded park ave...

I didn't see this until now... I wired in sequential tails on my 85 Trans-Am. I had to replace the outer bulb socket to a dual filament socket so that it would function as a running light and a turn signal/brake light. Wiring in the STS was a pain!! I only did it because I got a great deal on a custom made STS module on another forum. To my knowledge he doesn't make them anymore. But there are other kits.

But I agree, wiring in a larger bulb socket to where the 194 is now would be risky business IMO.

Yep, it has keyless. Funny thing is I busted the first remote trying to take it apart to clean it and I didnt get another until just this week. I think I have every option except a CD player...but I fixed that and grabbed one out of a 99 Limited. Im still learning what some of these codes mean. Thanks for the input!

Yeah after I looked into it I decided against it. It would be cool, but I dont want to risk these tails. Up here, 1G Parks, especially Ultras, are very hard to find. I've only found two so far and both are base. One just so happens to be the same color as mine with mint panels. It will be donating to my cause soon enough, haha.

I like the progress you have been making too! :) Every day that I got into my 94 LeSabre to go somewhere I asked myself why my Grandma didn't buy a 94 PAU instead...

Looks great. I had a 92 Ultra back in the mid-late 90's. Great car, loads of power and super comfy. I replaced the trans at 140K, and sold the car shortly after. My wife still talks about that one....

The old H Body 87-99 and the Old C body 85-96 were awesome cars and built tuff as nails... They were a completely different in the way they rode and handled compared to anything else.. Its was one of the platforms they really got right the first time... Just look how many are still on the road after 20 years... lol

It's just too bad the rust is eating so many of them.

PAU is a close runner up to the SSEi. Those first gens are my favorite.

Great looking car and good job on the "restoration." Hopefully the tranny just holds together for a while yet now.

I didnt even see your post, lol. Yeah, it'll be our own little H/C meet at an LH meet. However, I dont think I'll be modding this car to the extent of Bertha at other meets. Im sure you remember spring '11. Nightmare.

Yeah, thats what makes me paranoid about driving it right now. Honestly I want a 1G Ultra as a summer DD. I dont know whether I want to make this one that and pick up a true beater or keep this a beater and pick up a 96 with OBDII, a 65HD and S2 L67. But for right now she's been getting baths every 2 days or so. And Im hoping that trans does hold out, I've been babying the hell out of it.

So I guess I'll go ahead and update this. Well the tranny went out in spectacular fashion about 40 miles from my house. Apparently the diff somehow split wide open. So yet again the car sits. I knew the trans had an issue, But I wasnt expecting it to physically grenade and leech 7 quarts of fluid everywhere. What adds insult to injury is that while I was at work, my buddy and my father were loading the car on a dolly and I guess somehow the radiator decided to follow in the tranny's footsteps and blew the coolant level sensor straight out and most of my coolant gushed out. So on top of a new tranny, i now need to spend another 150 on a radiator. Honestly, this thing is going to sit....for awhile. Im now forced to drive my Dodge again everyday, but it being winter and no hope avoided the roads now, I see no rush in getting the Buick going anytime soon. It will sit until I regain my cool.

Here's half of the mess the night it went.

It'll buff out...

What kind of noises was it making, or was it a no-warning 'gotcha!'?

I am sorry to hear about the failure... If the trans is still okish, you could dig up a 3.33 GX3 Diff and the structurally improved diff cover( I think most 95's had this to begin with )

as for the radiator, do your searching... I know you can do better than 150...

I finally got up under it to take a pic. Not a pretty sight thats for sure.

The underside was all nice and dry and spotless. Looks like I have some cleaning up to do this spring.

Eh, It sounds like the roller clutch and sprag is on its way out so I'm going to drop another trans in it. However it looks like its going to be a slightly more daunting task than when I dropped a new tranny in my Intrepid, not only because of the work but I guess I'll have issues getting one to work?
