I was finally able to do the next logical performance upgrade to the Black Pearl...

And the after...

After a nice long road trip, they blued quite nicely...

They look good! Especially once they blued up a bit. Feel the difference? lol

Looks awesome in there! How was the install? Did you do the rear as well?

I noticed quite a bit of difference...

It's a full header system, so yes the rear was done too. The install went better than I thought it would

Search Ebay for Speed Daddy Grand Prix headers. There are alot of headers on ebay, make sure you get SPEED DADDY and you'll have no issues. Get some stainless steel exhaust band clamps from frozenboost.com and a trans dipstick tube from a 3800 powered W-Body

I have the same headers, and I had a helluva time getting the crossover in. Mine seemed to be too long, I couldn't get the headers line up flush with the heads. I ended up cutting 3/4" off both ends of the crossover IIRC. Otherwise the install was pretty smooth. I still cant get the front header to crossover connection sealed though, and I'm using the wide band clamps from Napa.

I've had mine for 6 months maybe, the blue looks pretty cool for a while but they'll begin to have some light surface rust. :???:

Ive had my speed daddys for 11 months or so now and their pretty ugly at this point. I cant be sure ive got perfect sealing or if the ticking noise i hear is due to missinf firewal grommet(s).

Should get em coated before install to help with rust/corrosion.

Those do look good!!

Reuben, what did you do to your fuel rails? Just clean the gold off them, or did you paint them?

Awesome looking engine compartment! She's a beauty, something about black supercharged cars... The headers really open up the mid range, especially passing on the highways, no? :)

For sure, its nice when you pass a buddy a the highway and they here your exhaust note IN their car with their windows up. The only down side about the headers is they are bad for my front tires ;)

Excellent job!!!! (I'm jealous too!) Goes perfectly with the car color. Do you have any more photo's of the Black Pearl? I saw the one of the headlight and the Black Pearl along the river bank. - BC

I had the shorties on the Trans-Am ceramic coated when I got them, an extra $250 from a guy my brother knows, well worth it! For as hot as they get, by now they would look like crap. But over a year later, they look exactly like I just put them on there. :btruestory:
