Dave's 100k milestone thread got me to remembering my old LeSabre and the last pictures/videos I took of it...

It hasn't been quite a year since I actually sold it but it has been about a year since the shadow of doom began looming over it's transmission which ultimately led to me selling it.

I really miss the car, but I don't regret selling it for an instant. If I still had it, I'd have a broken car rotting in the driveway and probably be flat broke, and my truck wouldn't have the nice stuff I've gotten for it in the past year. Ultimately it was for the best. I still see it driving around on occasion.

This was a sigpic I had for a while when I still planned on fixing it. I really like the concept, so much in fact that I may copy it for my truck even though my truck isn't dead or dying (knock on wood).

I have those same wheels...and somehow...mine look HORRIBLE on the car, whereas those look great. IDGI.

That must have been some car!
All this talk of LeSabres makes ne miss my old one too. I don't have any pictures but, it was a 94 custom. Champagne with a full landau top. My brother put in a pioneer sound system that was pretty good compared to stock. It had hardly any options but it did have a series 1 that still ran good even with no trans at 125k miles. Pretty quick for what it was. It made a great first car for me after it passed from my grandmother to my brother then me. I miss it sometimes, until I drive the bonneville and remember that the 94 had a ton of rust. Anyway, we LeSabre owners can reminisce together...

Dang web filter here at work won't let me view those pics, but I still remember that car. Amazing condition, loaded with options, and even had some very nice modifications. I miss reading on the exciting projects you would plan for the LeSabre, as it gave me great ideas for mine as well. The transmission on my LeSabre is starting to get a little flaky, so I'm probably going to have to stop driving it until I have enough reserve cash to get it fixed.

Well, but like you said, it's probably better to have someone else take of it, instead of letting it rot in the driveway.

Good memories though!!

Sorry to revive such an old post, and I see the OP isn't even active on here anymore, but I'm very interested in information on the projector headlight retrofit. I've been looking for custom parts for my 97 limited, which are pretty much non existent, or ideas on things to do myself. One of which is custom headlights. They look amazing and I'd love to get more information on it. Can anybody tell me anything about them? Thank you
