Lets cross that river when we get to it. I'm not picking up the car until Easter, since its so far away.

No idea if the engine runs. It was towed from that spot and hasn't been started since.

He'll have some Grand Am GT rims and skins to put on it in a week or so. They are what I was told were the "factory 2003 SLE 17" rims". I think they look quite a lot like 98-00 Grand Am GT rims.
Andrew will have a blue 03 SLE he'll be stripping down soon -I'm yanking the engine, trans, drivers HL, and cat and not much else -the rest I'll send to Andrew to have him inventory.

Neither -dark blue, darker than Andrews (which is 00-01 IIRC).

It's probably Dark Ming Blue Metallic.

The dark blue one was salvageable, until we had to push the car w/the skidloader to get it out of the mud.

I didn't want to have to do anything but swap it, lol.

Reminds me of when i got my car stuck in the driveway, my dad had to push my car our with the loader tractor, left a few small marks in it, lol. That was ok, since that was the bumper my mom backed into and wrecked, LOL.

The plan was to pick up the car on Easter weekend, since its 4 hours away. I figured there might be a chance that he would try to sell it before then, but I was keeping my fingers crossed. He just texted me today and said that he was offered $1k for the car, wondering if I still wanted it. Basically, I got out of him that he needs the money pretty bad by Friday to pay some fines, or he loses his license. I told him I couldn't pay $1k for it without the wheels. He said the wheels are staying on it now as they dont fit his mustang. I offered $750 with the wheels. He accepted. I am mailing him a check so he can get the money asap, and I am still planning on getting the car on the 23rd.

Where did his insurance money go? lol

It was looking like he made out better on crashing it than you did selling it..

His insurance money went towards paying off the loan he had on it. It also paid for the $1000+ he put into the engine... apparently he thought it needed new lifters and lifter guides when he did the lower intake gaskets. Also, the reason he got so much from insurance ($5600) was because he lied about the mileage. He pulled the fuse for the cluster and claimed it only had 102k on it. :???:

Anyways, I got it back again.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the airbags blowing, it could be fixed. Airbags kill it though.

Definitely sucks however. At least he's okay (i'm assuming)

The airbags aren't a big deal, I have many of them. Its not just that brace that is bent, the whole front structure of the frame is messed up. You can even see that the passenger fender doesn't line up with the door. Its not a fixable, I will be parting it out.
