00 SSEi, stock, washed it twice, once with kitchen detergent to remove the wax, another with Eagle One carwash to clean it up, then i waxed it with Eagle One Spray-On Nanowax, really easy to apply, not the best, but quick and looks good for what it is. Put on tire shine, as well as cleaned the windows, and added the Pontiac Bonneville Club.com Silver Decals. Got totally drenched by the seniors today, last day of school, was really water spotted. Looks good now, i got some spray on caliper paint, silver, haven't applied it yet, and new wipers, which is good, since it rained tonight. I used Invisible Glass, Which is really nice, and easy, see a theme here?

Pontiac Bonneville Club.com Decal added, first noticed that one quarter window has tint and the other has tint residue, tinted one (driver's side);

Nice! That completely revived it! The shine looks amazing.

Thanks, took 3 hours, but was well worth it. The front end looks better than it is, it is really sandblasted badly, my buddy in auto body at South Central College may re-paint it next fall, he re-did his dad's truck this year, and it looks really good. Best thing is that labor is free, i have to pay for materials, about $800-$1000, not $5000+ for a shop to do it

Very nice!

I am currently trying to locate a fully loaded 00+ SSE or SLE to give my trusty old '95 a break from the torture of being my daily driver. :)

There's a very cheap one in the Detroit area. Check out the thread in the ebay forum.

Looking nice!

So $800-1000 is just the materials for repainting the front end? Bumper/hood/fenders? Or is he repainting the entire car? $5000 would be a very expensive paint job for an ENTIRE car.

Actually it isn't. I would even say its on the low side for a quality paintjob. Being into classic Mustangs, I follow a lot of bodyshop stories on other forums. Many members don't hesitate to pay $10,000 for a paintjob. The labor that goes into a paintjob is ridiculous and the materials are expensive as well.

I own an '03 ssei. I fought tooth and nail with my husband b/c he wanted to clear the corners. It's not that I didn't want them cleared, I just didn't want him messing something up that could cost money. I'm sure everyone here knows what that's about. Anyway. He held a mini meet here and needless to say, while I was cooking dinner he and the others cleared my corners. Now I'm mad I wouldn't let him earlier b/c I have all those pics that look bad compared to now. I love them.

I started reading that and thinking to myself, If I get to the end of this story and her corners aren't cleared, I'm gonna sneek off and do them when I'm there :twisted:

Glad its not comming to that :P
