I kinda like the front overhang look with the rest of the car.

I paid $2000 for it, plus about $500 in fees (CoPart).

Its got 102k on it.

The battery is dead, so I haven't even heard it start. However, I did find an old tabs receipt with the last owners contact info on it. I called him up and he was really cool. He wasn't a club member, but he did quit a few mods (tinted tails). I has a remote starter, and the guy is mailing me the extra set of keys and the fobs. He said the only thing that didn't work on it before it got in the accident was the rear windows, the heated seats, and the radio display. The interior is kinda dirty, but nothing is damaged. Its the only 2000+ SSEi I have ever seen without a moonroof. The car was totaled by the insurance company because they got estimates of $7k+ to fix it. They took the money instead. I plan on fixing it for about $500-700. I hope to sell it for around $5k when finished... unless Shannon takes it from me.

Dang it Andrew. You already know this but I'd been planning on bidding on this car but forgot about the auction until I was halfway through a shopping trip with Ahn. By then the prelim bidding had been over by 2 hrs.
Andrew showed me the car on the way home from picking it up today (yesterday now).
He has almost a better car than I did with the black one I turned over this summer. What little work he has compared to me will have him sitting well after he flips it.
LMK if you need a hand turning nuts and bolts Andrew. I'm only a couple clicks of the clock away and most of my days atm are long and weary.
Once I get my resume updated with the certifications I've managed to get over the past couple months, my time will be abit more rare.

Even though its been raining all day yesterday and today, I decided to go work on the car a little bit.

I tried charging the original battery last night, but it was bad. Guess who happens to have a spare laying around. I put the spare battery in and fired it up. It started amazingly for not being run for ~3 months. The engine runs smooth and quiet. MUCH quieter than my modded car. I kinda miss that sound. I backed it off the trailer and pulled it in the driveway. Transmission works great in drive and reverse.

Here are some more pics

Here is how the truck looked

Here is the trunk cleaned out

And here is everything that was in the trunk. I was pleasantly surprised to find some of those parts. Headlight, floormats, foglights w/ brackets (tinted), license plate, center cap, hood latch, fender well liners, and that plastic bag contains all the bolts that were removed when car was dismantled.

Found all this water in the trunk
Image

Drilled a 1/8” hole in the bottom to let the water drain out.

WOW. that's a lot of water.. Surprised it's not rustier. Why does everyone drill holes though? I just removed those rubber plugs. Is that like 35% tint?
I look forward to seeing the transformation.

32% tint, I found a receipt for the job.

I drilled the hole in the plug ;)

Out of curiosity, what was the $500 for? I've thought about flipping cars on the side as well, but need more capital before I can think about doing it.

SALE PRICE = 2,000.00
SALES TAX = 10.00
BUYER FEE = 425.00
VIRTUAL BID FEE = 35.00
GATE = 30.00
LIC FEE - Y52 ONLY = 6.00
TITLE PROCESSING = 25.00
TITLE TSF- YARD 52 O = 30.00
SALES TAX - YARD 52 = 20.00 ANOKA COUNTY TRANSIT TAX

If I would have known about the $425 Copart buyers fee before bidding, I probably wouldn't have gone as high, but oh well, live and learn.
