I haven't got round to posting this before, so I thought I'd share a few photos of the other car in our household - my wife's 2003 Nissan Micra:

My wife Penny has owned this for 8 years and uses it daily. It's a 2003 model with 85,000 miles on the clock. It has a little 1.2 litre 4-cylinder engine, and a 5-speed manual transmission.

Being an SE model it is well equipped, with extras such as rain-sensing wipers, keyless ignition, and parking sensors (although I'm not usre why they're needed on such a small car!).

It's not a bad car to drive either, although it gets very noisy at highway speeds, and it's obviously not as comfortable over longer distances as the Bonneville.

It's going soon though in favour of something newer.

Those are interesting options for such a small car. I bet it gets awesome gas mileage...

To most British people the Bonneville is huge! That's generally the first thing they notice. Then they ask you how many miles you get to the gallon. When I say it gets 26mpg in my hands on average and 30mpg on a long run they are often pretty impressed at how economical it is for its size and the size of the engine, although it is still considered quite thirsty.

By the way, I'm jealous that you're in Puerto Rico! I really want to go there on vacation someday.

Well.... Penny is a safe driver, but not an economical one. She has a heavy right foot and holds onto her gears for far too long, in my opinion. LOL. She gets an average of 38mpg out of it, but it is capable of much better. I'm sure I could easily get 50mpg out of it if it was mine.

Top Gear has made me appreciate smaller cars more recently, (as well as The Smoking Tire since he got a Fiesta) but I can't get over the fact that the grill makes it look like the car has a mustache haha :)

But on the other hand, it has a man pedal and gets crazy gas mileage it sounds like!
