I am working on an 85 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with the 4.1 and fwd. The problem that it has is an intermittent battery drain. Sometimes if the car sits for a week, the battery will go completely dead, other times it will start up just fine. Ive tried 3 different batteries and the same thing happens. After sitting for about two weeks, the car started up just fine, and I drove it around for about a half hour, and shut it off, when I went to start it 5 minutes later it was dead and I had to jump start it. any ideas?

Well.... One way is to check is to pull each fuse one by one and check the terminals that the fuse plugs into with a digital amp meter to see what fuse is drawing current.

When a digital multi meter is in the amp setting it is a dead short, so don't do anything stupid like touch it to the car battery.

And yes this takes forever but it will help you figure out what is causing your issue.
