Yeah the 4.5 was not bad... Plenty of low end grunt...

I drove a Deville I think it was 89-90... It was Burgundy with the Pimp Red interior... I looked at the RPO codes on it.... Funny it had a 2.97 gear ratio and an FE2( iirc ) suspension... That Deville drove amazing... I still say that guy special ordered that car with all of the boxes checked off... Thing would throw your head back when you mashed it...LMAO

Well, now it is making popping/cracking grinding when turning right and as I drove it some it was getting worse and began doing it (but Less extreme) when turning left.
It sounds bad!

I believe it is CV axle. Because I noticed the boot was ripPed and grease leaking out.

Also, I am getting a code E049. For Air Management System.
It revs up and down until warmed up. And sometimes when letting off the gas when coasting then engine seems to buck. Seems like something isn't right with the fueling.

And I did have an uneven fueling left to right bank code a while back. But I cleared all the codes and that one never came back.

Well, the diagnosis is in.... :sad: and she's dead :sadeyz:






























No, just kidding. But I brought it to our mechanic friend and he put it on the lift and had me put it in gear and press the gas. He said the passenger axle was actually shaking up and down like it was ready to blow apart and he said stuff was coming out the middle of it.
And I knew the driveside boot was ripped. Took it for a ride and that one is shot too.

So it needs 2 new axles. There goes another $150 on a $500 car. Needless to say, this "Cadillac" will not be with us much longer.
