Year and Trim: 1988 sse - 80,000 on the clock and my first car...

1995 se wit da sle package- 120,000 on the clock and ticking stronger then ever...
my neighbors car is running like chit and misfiring like crazy.. the exhaust is going put put..

and i swapped the maf and the ignition coils and module with known good ones.. did nothing..

so i seafoamed it.. runs a lil better but still a big misfire..

car also hesitates going up any hill small or big..

i just checked the codes and im getting 34 and 44.. i replaced the maf so i dont think that is it..

i was guessing the oxygen sensore before i even scanned the car for codes but my neighbor just had both his knee's replaced and cant afford to buy the part if its not whats needed.. and im not even charging him for this.. just tryingto help since he is not working.


i cant find the error codes i had expect for this page..

any help guys would be greatly appericated by me and the owner of the car.. thanks..

Looking at the codes, listening to how it's running, my gut is telling me that if the codes are correct, there is a massive vacuum leak. That would fit the symptoms of everything. But I have no idea where it would be.

I'm thinking it could be bad gas or a clogged fuel filter or injectors.

Did you clear the codes after you checked them? Is it still throwing the 34?
