Well next spring Im going to be the new owner of this car. Its my brothers winter car, he drives his Corvette in the summer. He is planning on getting a 5th Gen Camaro next year and wont need this anymore, and the payment.....a years worth of oil changes on the New Camaro and his Vetter and its MINE!!! Its only a 3.8 but it does have a 5speed. Only 86,000 on the clock and he got it in 98. It runs good, just had an EGR and purge solenoid put on to pass Emissions testing. He drives like an adult so its never been beat on. Its green, not sure of the exact name, *dang* close to my color, and gray cloth interior. Itll be nice to keep miles off the Bonne since its at 150,000 now. And after some times im wanting to do an LS swap on it.

Pics......sorry just found out tonight and it was dark out, ill take it out and detail it this weekend and get better pics

which makes it a prime canidate for keeping the 3.8 swapping the tremec T-56 into it and buying an L26 and putting it in the garage for when the l36 craps out. I've been thinking about one of these for that very reason

When this motor goes....or when I get a bunch of money(HAHAHA), its getting an LS motor, me needs my V8 rumble.

just a forewarning it requires a lot more effort then plug n play but hey go for it, I would use one for a absurdly good gas mileage beater. but if you needs v8 rumble I understand that, that's why I have the truck

LSx > ANY 3800.

I wouldn't "keep miles off" a 150k Bonneville over an 86k 4th Gen....

Hard to tell from the lighting in the pics, but it looks like Bright Green metallic. Look at your RPO codes, the paint code for BGM is 31U. I've owned several 4th gen F bodies, but they were all LT1 or LSx cars. Leave it as is in my opinion, the v-6 to v-8 swap is not an easy one. I not sure if the L36 top-swap is an option either due to the electronics involved.

If he wanted to top-swap (add an S/C) he'd have to find an M90 from Down-under, as they have curved inlets to deal with the RWD configuration of the car.

I think the engine is to close to the firewall for a topswap.Turbo it if you want to keep the original engine. Or the LSX swap sounds sweet.

Nice ride for some oil changes.

Sweet deal!

I'd happily do that deal with anyone, but I'm sure it helps that you're family.

I have a goal to someday own one of the 5th gen Camaros, but it will likely be pre-owned by then.

I've been a Camaro fan ever since owning a '69 in '78.

Here's a picture of my old BGM 'vert. If it's the darker green, it's a jade.

Thanks for the replies guys. Atleast ill have another car to drive when the trans gets rebuilt in the Bonne. Ive been around cars long enough to know V8s are not plug and play, not worried about anything id run into with the swap. A Camaro just needs a V8 in my oppinion. But hell I may end up trading/selling it before I even get to that point. Ive just always wanted an FBody, rather have a 3rd Gen but im NOT complaining.

Come on Spring!!!!!

nice deal. i still vote a supercharged 3800. keep the v6 look but make it a sleeper. v8 camaros are dime a dozen but supercharged 3.8s are rare.

Supercharged 3800 Camaro's are rare because they are out gunned by LTx and LSx.

Right on! The 3rd gen F-bodies are the best IMO.

Why not have a sleeper base model with an LS6?

There will not be any badge adding on this thing.
