I had a 92 and sold it for this 1995. I really like the body style of the 1990-1997 towncars. The newer ones do not appeal to me.

Does that have the 4.6 or 3.8? The 4.6 was an amazing engine....

95 up was my fav. Towncar of all time, when they changed body styles past that I couldn't stand it either. Nice car.

I don't recall them ever putting a 3.8 in a Towncar...? From 1990 it was the SOHC 4.6, before that I believe it was the 5.0. Towncars never had a V6. Perhaps you're thinking of the Continental?

1990 Town Car was actually still a 5.0, 4.6 wasn't ready in time. Can you say 12 seconds to 60?

And, No, Town car never received a 3.8, that would be like 1 year to 60 then.

Yes, you're right...the 3.8 was only in the Continentals. My bad. I agree 100%, that 3.8 is absolute GARBAGE.

The 4.6 was unreal. My brother had a 94 Crown Vic which he sold two summers ago and it had 340,000 on it at the time. The kid he sold it to is still driving it around town and it now has 365,000. Burns oil, but still runs like a champ.

I like the big body on frame Fords. I'd still like to have a 95+ Vic, Marquis or Town Car, and swap some PI heads and intake onto it, as well as a few other goodies. Yeah most of the 4.6s burn oil, but they will run forever and ever...not only that but the 4R70W that they installed in 1995 compared to the earlier AODE makes for a really strong drivetrain.

Don't get me started on the Ford 3.8.....

yeah I sold me 1992 below for the 1995 I have now because of the updated looks and transmission. So far mines burning no oil but I do have a suspension air leak.

That 92 actually has many more options than the 95
