Went to pick up the bumper & grill today. The guy threw in the bug deflectors for free, but I'm not sure if I like them. I talked him down to $160 for everything, killer deal compared to the yard prices. I used the $40 I saved to fill the tank.

Before:

I started working on the bumper in the late afternoon and right when I got the bumper off, UPS showed up with my headlight, PERFECT timing!

After:

I like the plastic molding under the new bumper, makes it look a little better. I also have foglights now, too bad the truck isn't wired for them... might have to add that later.

Looking pretty good huh?

$1500 truck
$100 fender
$75 tire
$50 headlight
$25 mudflaps
$160 bumper & grill
$1900 so far

I'd probably grab a hood if I could find one around $100, but I'm in no rush.

Tomorrow I'm going to sand the bottom half of the trunk and prepare it for a couple coats of rubberized undercoating. That should help cover the rust and revent anymore from starting. The mudflaps I orders will also cover the missing paint on the bottom of the new fender.

Looking good! I vote leave the bug deflectors off, they do nothing but decrease fuel mileage due to increased drag.

I kinda like the bug deflector. and i doubt on a truck that size especially, that their would be a decrease in milage due to the bug deflector, not to argue or anything.

The plan was to spray some undercoating before working on the hood. I got started around 10am this morning with the masking. I saw a local guy that had this done to his truck by a "professional" and I wasn't pleased with the door jams, so I made sure that mine were perfect.

I took a lot of pics, so I’ll let them do the talking.

I’ll have pics later with the doors closed… I didn’t want to close them until everything is 100% dry.

LOL, my thoughts exactly! Shoot, I'm so busy with work I'd never have so much time to devote to so many projects!
