Clogged fins on heater core or A/C finned unit in firewall

Months ago I had posted a question on the lack of air flow from all heater vents on my car. One of you replied with a document link (on this website) describing how to use carb cleaner and then a water house to clean the fins on either the heater core or an A/C component containing fins - I'm not sure which unit was noted. I recall to access the finned component I needed to remove the heater blowermotor housing at the firewall and then reach in towards the dash to clean the fins. Can someone please post the doc link?

Its starting to get a bit cold on the East Coast - I need a lot better air flow to clean off the windshield, and keep warm, etc

Thanks - Milty

This past week my blower motor died. I pulled it out this past weekend and also performed the evaporator cleaning procedure. The entire firewall housing containing the blower motor was full of grass, pine needles, etc. I'm sure a mouse had made his home in there. I recall going down to the car at times and checking under the hood and seeing a mouse run. I cleaned out all the mouse bedding and did the carb cleaner on the evaporator. I'm not blown out of my seat with heat but it is 100% better than before - now I have some heat volume!!!!. I'll have heat for this winter. Its already been cold on the East Coast.

Thanks.....Milty
