Steering - right turn moderate resistence

In the last month I have noticed when making a hard right turn - main road to side road - 90 degree angle - I feel a moderate amount of resistence - no resistence making a left turn. Steering fluid is full - looks clean - does not smell burnt. Does this sound like a steering rack going bad or a ball joint , tie rod , strut, etc.
Thanks....Milty

What happens when the car is in park idling and you turn the steering wheel lock to lock ?

Mine started out this way... after a Hit n Run though but sounds like the same issue... Had to replace rack & pinion, as well as the steering pump. $1077 later, works better than new

I was hoping it is not the rack - lots of $$$$$ - if it is I will replace it myself. Any other thoughts from club members?
