Taylor Plug Wires

Post by 2002BonnevilleSE »

Has anyone used this brand of plug wires?

I'm sure mine are still the original ones and was thinking new plugs and wires is a good thing.

Get Beldins from NAPA. Comes with a warranty and are cheaper.

Other then cheaper. What is the advantage in using Beldins over other brands?
Taylor also has warranty.

Some of the fastest Bonneville's run Beldins, if there was a better wire they would be using them. Basically if you take your plug wires back to NAPA when you need another tune up, with receipt and orig box, you get a new set no questions asked.

Just looking at the pictures I would say that's right.
They are $24.95 + tax
As long as they work good I'm all for that price.
Better get plugs too.

I second the beldens...
I have used nothing but Taylors on my Trans-Am, and have had no problems.
I put a set on the SSEi, and 6k miles later (approx) it was misfiring, slightly, but still...
Got the beldens and it went away... The Taylors just don't work well with our motors :btruestory:

Plus if you have a AAA Card you'll save 7% at a NAPA store. (excluding Oil, Spark plugs, engines)

That's how I bought my Beldins for $23 and change.

You've got to be kidding me. I've spent HUNDREDS at NAPA, if I'd have known that I'd have saved a ton...

I know many members have had issues. The 3800 is extremely picky about plug wires.

Well Ed looks like we both learned something from this.
Thanks for the heads up on the Taylor wires on this motor. I have used them on 350's and had no problems.

I think its our waste spark system that makes the taylors not so good for the 3800.

I dont use NAPA very much cause they were always closed when I needed a part, but now with our Advance that opened up they are doors open till like 6 on Sat, and like 7 or 8 on the weekdays. I like our carquests, napa more than AZ and AA but timing has had me have to use them at some points.

I agree with the Beldin's. I tried Taylor's early on and had issues with them. Switched to Beldin's and they worked fine even on my 12 second SSEi :)
