I was wondering do i need the trac control engaged all the time while driving because it seems to make the car burn more gas than when i drive with it off?

It shouldn't make a difference. It's probably your right foot causing it.
Traction control will only engage when your're experiencing actual wheelspin.

Traction control is on by default.

Your K&N and and Flowmaster will have an effect on mileage, though likely very small - your driving habits play into things HUGE. It doesn't take much spirited driving from the Northstar to completely ruin your mileage. I've learnt
I'd love to see the video. I'm debating some sort of exhaust myself - nothing crazy, just mufflers or a cat-back at most. Magnaflow and Corsa are two names on my mind... Also, I'm moving this to General Chat as this isn't really a performance/brainstorming type topic.

There is absolutely no correlation between traction control on/off and your mileage. I guarantee it's mental. When on, it only engages when it senses your wheels spinning. If shut off, you can spin your wheels more (basically raises the intervention level) w/o it intervening. The only way to completely disable it is to unplug a wheel speed sensor, however that disables TPMS, ABS and TC, but it allows great burnouts, LOL.
