SEBF '10 Drag day (NOV 5th)
Posted: Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:53 pm
Starting a new thread so as to not clutter up the main one.
Typicly SEBF falls on the same weekend as the "World Street Nationals" the largest doorslammer race in the world, this prohibits us from using the track for a proper track meet. this year, for whatever reason, SEBF has been pushed back a week, and the track is free and clear.
so i'm looking to see if enough people are interested to make a convoy to the track worthwhile.
the event would be held at Orlando Speedworld http://www.speedworlddragway.com/
we would probably have to leave around 4:30 to arrive and get through tech before the track itself opens at 6pm, (gates at 5pm) addmission is $10 per person. $5 additional for every car that is racing (IE one car one driver racing is $15, one car one driver one passenger $25, one car one person, not racing $10)
rules are standard NHRA rules, must have a valid DL and be 18+ to race or ride on the track. one passenger is allowed in the car on the track.
overpriced food and beverages are available site, as well as 106 octane race fuel. that'll kill that KR.
on a typical friday night i average 4-5 runs. my record is just under 20 runs. track closes at 10:30pm.
i would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
