I have a problem, and would like any 1 to give me some guidance to what could be the problem and how could i get about fixing it.
I have a beautiful Pontiac Bonneville 92 SE model
Recently, i have been having problems with the brakes.
While driving on fast lanes, the car seems to be fine.
As soon as i slow down on speed and apply strong brakes... the pedal seems to get stuck in ...
It wont budge... unless i step on the gas and accelerate ... it pops back rite out (the brake pedal) :S
Have no clue of whats goin on ... Please help

Sounds like the piston may be sticking in the master cylinder bore. You should also check the condition of any rubber flex hoses in the system while someone applies the brake pedal - they should not enlarge under pressure. Old hoses can also delaminate internally and act as a check valve when you apply the brakes, not allowing the pressure to drop to zero when the pedal is released. This is a common cause of a dragging or sticking brake. A sticking caliper or wheel cylinder piston could also cause your symptom. The car is old enough to have corrosion problems with the brake lines, too. While this should not cause the symptom you describe, you should do a complete inspection of the service brakes - wheel cylinders in the back, calipers up front, all lines and hoses, and the master cylinder.

I had a problem with my 92 SE when I hit the brakes they would stick Nothing worked until I changed both brake hoses, After that it was like brand new .. of course thats because it was. I replaced everything but the lines first !!! I hope this helps you out However my pedal never stuck just the brakes you could be having a Booster issue , Others here know better than I ask around & let us know how you make out, It isn't cool when people fix the problem, then never leave an answer as to what it was after they fix it . Knowing what it was helps everyone out a lot
