Heater/AC vent problem 94 SE

Today I found that my climate control system was blowing air only through the defroster vents and the floor vents. No setting produces air through the dash vents. Where should I start?

Check the vacuum lines, mine did this after I changed my plugs and I must have knocked one of the lines near the firewall loose. It popped off a few days later and I had the same issues you are having..

Thanks for that Pontiac1! That makes a lot of sense. I know just which one to look at to start too.

Hey thanks Pontiac 1! My tube from the engine vacuum multi port to the firewall (Heat/AC system) hose was disconnected. The climate system works well now except for the refrigerant I need to put in. This hose comes off frequently when working in that area. The nipple the vac hose fits over is tapered to a point at the end. I've tried hose clamps and sanding down the fatter end and the hose keeps coming off. Would a JB Bond lip around the small end let a hose clamp keep the hose in place?

If the line does not stay on it probably needs to be replaced, you could try a plastic zip tie to hold it in place. These lines dry out, the connections loosen up from heat and need to be replaced sometimes.
