Wellll Carl, if you aren't going to use that Gen V, I'll definitely swing by this week with you guys and we can put it all in the Buick :twisted:

Ashlee's uncle also has a full shop that he runs, as well as a few modded toys (rail dragster and a blown/heavily modded STS), so I'm sure he'd be more than willing to help hahaha.

Just a small update on this, not really much to show off, car's been getting more miles lately, just crossed 236k... Still runs like a top, working on the fan controller today and just finished installing the stereo. Pioneer speakers replacing the stockers and an Infinity Basslink Sub, I had installed a Pioneer HU a while back...

I am having a slight issue, not too prevalent yet, but once in a while I'll get in and turn the key and the dash cycles like normal, but when I go to crank it over nothing happens, I'll try it two or three times more and within three attempts it does crank and start right up like always. What might I be looking at here?

Time to look into a L32 starter, I remember Don said something about it being swappable. :)

The L67 starter is gear reduced too. That's why it costs a bunch more than the NA starter.

Working on it! Probably going to wash them up today and take pics tomorrow morning. The building I'm planning to go by blocks the morning sun, so I'd get some cool shots out of that I think. Probably the last pictures of the GXP for the year too.

Fall update: I am about 95% done with the stereo as of right now, just some small touches and I'll have it done.

I noticed when I did the starter (non-issue anyway) I noticed the oil and trans pans are seeping a small amount. So I'll replace the oil pan and gasket at next change, and drop the trans pan and do a filter change and hope the bolts were just a little loose.(Maybe a new GM gasket, IDK.)

I ordered "3500k" LED 880 bulbs for the fogs, (not in these pics) well, they ended up being legit orange. They match the markers in color, and the brightness is poor. So I have some Putco yellow halogens on the way.

She's all ready for winter workhorse mode. Though truthfully I'd like to wax it once more before then.

Most of the paint is in pretty nice shape for its age. But it will need almost a full spray when I have the rust fixed, to quell my OCD with scratches and dings.

Edit: If anyone is interested in seeing something rather slow, I have a video. :lol: I could claim bad launch, but it's partially just slow. Second gear feels torquey though. Not bad for what it is. (Compass does work, sometimes it flakes out for a few minutes though...) :roll:

Nice and sharp!! That red does look good! Now, you just need to go out, find some fall foliage, and get some pictures!!

Yeah, I should clean and wax mine before winter, but, as you already know, I really need to wax the '97 LeSabre and the Rainier first.
