Re: WCBF11 - Oregon July 19 - 24
Moving the cruise to the coast to Saturday is a suggestion since there will not be any Races at Woodburn on Saturday, just Friday night. We could still do the cruise on Thursday but I figured Saturday might be better and give more people a chance to partake in one of the highlights of the Meet.

Like I said, the truck was an unexpected expense and if I do get it done it would not race.
Don't get me wrong, once it is broken in and everything is up to par, it will get run like hell. I am not going to mod it and not run it to have fun.

Are you sure its not a SNELL approved helmet instead of DOT approved that you need.
It would suck if someone bought a DOT helmet and the track would not let them race.
I know that the tracks in CA require a SNELL approved helmet.

Yes Rod is exactly right.
Mine is Snell M2000 DOT rated full face with visor......and it expires after this season.
Mine is Snell M2000 DOT rated full face with visor......and it expires after this season.
Be sure to check that snell sticker on you old helmet because NHRA rules for 2009 state that "any car running 14.00 and quicker in the 1/4 mile requires a Snell K98 or 2000 or newer OR SFI 41.1A helmet (see complete list below)". Also a new NHRA rule for '08 requires that "any car running 9.99 or quicker in the 1/4 mile requires an NHRA approved FULL face helmet with visor.
The NHRA 2010 Rule Book Reads as follows for Helmets and Goggles:
As outlined under Class Requirements, drivers in all classes, including motorcycles, must wear a helmet meeting Snell or SFI Specifications.
SFI Spec 31.1A = Snell SA, open-face helmet
SFI Spec 31.2A = Snell SA, full-face helmet
SFI Spec 41.1A = Snell M, open-face helmet
SFI Spec 41.2A = Snell M , full-face helmet
Effective Jan. 1, 2008, full face helmet mandatory on all cars 9.99 or quicker. See Individual Class Requirements for additional requirements. Shield mandatory 7.49 & quicker.
E.T. cars (13.99 or quicker) must use a helmet meeting Snell 2000, 2005, 2007 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 31.1/2005, 41.1A, 41.2A or 41.1/2005 Specs. Drivers in supercharged, front-engine, open-bodied cars and Funny Cars must wear a helmet meeting Snell SA2000, SA2005 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, or 31.1/2005 Specs. See Class Requirements.

We are not coming down this year, and I am speaking for the entire Pontiac Family. We have a lot of reasons why, but the main is that we are going to be going to Arizona for Christmas this year, and two trips down the States is just too much, especially when none of the people from the States come up here.......

Yes that is really unfortunate although understandable with the state of their economy.especially when none of the people from the States come up here.......
There is so much beauty to behold and black top to explore. Totally different scenery and culture in many regards.
Hey, did they know that Alberta is tax free and the fuel is cheaper here than on the West Coast. That's how OmpaMatt can afford to fuel his G8......among other things....
