Don't forget about the exhaust and cam. If you can't flow it or exhaust it, it adds nothing. You need to know what CFM of air is being moved with whatever pulleys you are going to run.

"Hi Colin,
We only have a couple items for your Series I engine – a replacement supercharger coupler and high ratio rocker arms. Both of these are in stock for immediate shipment."

thats from the original email. if you disagree and have used some of thier parrts and have written up this list i would love a list.
They have more than they know, and they know I know that. The market is small enough, they don't spend the time to identify every compatible part for the Series 1.

Back to what I said earlier:

EVERYTHING you can get for the Series 2, you can get for the Series 1 EXCEPT an intercooler. Not all parts are from our traditional Series 2 vendors, but they're out there, INTENSE sells far more compatible parts than some people ever both to identify. Dirtracr is being seriously sarcastic in his post above.

I'm currently running from INTENSE:

FWI
AFPR
MAF Translator
Rockers
Lifters
Oil Pressure Kit
False Knock Kit
Plug boot protectors ( )

Many gaskets, seals, and filters, supercharger parts, not to mention belts and lubricants are also available from them. If not from them, then elsewhere. What you need to do is simply state what you need and we'll send you to the right place to get it.

Your stock exhaust is fine with a mild cam, and the overbore won't affect it. Upgrade your cat and muffler only.

Even your EM's don't need porting until you port the heads.

Intense cams will not work for you. You will most likely have to go with a custom grind, or buy one from the Holden Monaro market in Australia. Custom grind by a US shop will be far more affordable. You'll also need heavier valve springs, and we can help with that when the time comes. Again, Series 2 Valve springs, locks, and retainers will not work for you, nor will pushrods, but there are several places that can handle that for you as well. Mine were made custom for me by a shop here in Oregon (supplies them for Richard Childress Racing/Nascar).

http://www.crowcams.com.au/default.aspx

VERY IMPORTANT:
The Aussies never saw the L67 Series 1. Their series designation is different for generations from ours as well. Your Series 1 L67 cam choice is also that of the L27 which is their VN Series on this page:

http://www.crowcams.com.au/media/catalo ... n%20V6.pdf

Their ECOTEC is our SERIES 2. Their SERIES 2 is OUR SERIES 1.

yet another part with the word "custom" attached to it. Welll then im unsure what to do with the cam. It will need a higher quality steel but any ideas on the lift?

No, you won't need higher quality steel. Lift and duration are going to be dictated by what you want. Desktop Dyno is a good starting point for you, or talk to the grinder personally and discuss it with him. Or simply buy one off the shelf with the links I posted.

The problem with all these plans is this:

You drive a Series 1 because that's what your budget dictates. For what you're going to spend getting the performance where you want it, you could sell it, buy a Series 2, and go with bolt-ons. The more you mod, the more you'll spend just keeping it running, and it's very easy to pour THOUSANDS into it. The Series 1 is too old to be practically considered a good platform for aftermarket performance because of this.

Let's start with the basics now.

1. What's your budget?
2. What are your realistic tq/hp goals?

Series 2 with ported heads, plus everything that goes with such a setup. 500hp is still a loftly goal with stage x heads.

Stop even thinking about doing this with a series 1.

Let's start with fuel.

4 bar
0.55 BSFC (Brake specific fuel consumption) This is a little lean for a supercharged engine but not too lean.
90% injector duty cycle. This is way too high, 80-85% is the correct range.
6 injectors
500BHp

44.1lb/hr injectors required.

Now with safer numbers:

0.60 BSFC
80% IDC

54.13lb/hr injectors required at 4 bar.
62.86lb/hr at 3 bar.

Assuming a WOT A:F of 11:1

5.0288lb/min of fuel => 55.3168lb/min air

Air is ~0.0745lb/ft^3 at sea level and 70F

742.507CFM This is a lot of air and will require considerable head work. Twin M62's will need to spin at 10347rpm. With a 6000rpm red line 4.2" pulleys would be about right.

I would estimate ~$1000 for each head.
You will need custom tuning. No off the shelf PCM will handle this.
You will have a very large investment in time and/or money for the custom fabrication needed to put this together.

Can it be done? Yes.

Can it be done on your stated budget? I doubt it.

A very unique project but IMHO not practical.

I hate the word practical. Thats all I am going to say about that.

You can use the 85mm MAF that INTENSE sells to read you air flow instead of 2 smaller MAFs for each blower. I believe the 85mm MAF can flow 895cfm or something like that. It will be easier to tune that way.

Practical is a word we like to use when helping members that have stated their budget.

If you don't like the word, please paypal a bunch of money to Sadden, and we won't use it any more in this topic.

Also need to think about other things on the car that might be going out or you'll need to upgrade due to the higher HP(ie brakes, no reason for the go if you cant WHOA!) maybe even suspension pieces. I think he should sell the Bonne and go with and FBody or even a FoxBody mustang, you can have a better performing car all around and go faster for cheaper, or just able to dump that many more performance pieces in the car.

I wonder how much money the 8Ball had dropped into it? That was a 460WHP car right?

I've been tuning my PCM for 8 months. Its not something you can just set and forget, especially with what you're planning.

I highly recommend you buy your own tuner and do it yourself.

No, you can't get a custom tune for $100. Your car is OBD I, and there are incredibly limited options for tuning that. If you want a car with 500 WHP, get a 98 Camaro and throw a magnacharger on it. That'll have 500 RWHP, and be a lot more practical.
