Best tires recommendation?

I havent had the time and money to get the tires yet but will have to do so soon. I think im justing going to go with my first choice, the GT Radial ones, because i will only be using them for winters and I did some research and heard good and bad just like you would for most other tires.
For the price of the tires and for the time i'll be using them, i think its a match for me right now.

Yokohama Avid 4AS 255/50 VR 16 for $220 each(Retail $315 ea) was the best I could find.

Where are 4AS? Can't find them on the Yok Site.

Treadwear ratings don't mean much tho...
