Take and few more days and think on it...don't get in a rush as I did. There is a guy on here who sells used parts. A complete new airbox for my 03 is only $35 shipped, so they are available if you gut yours and want to have a stocker for a future sale, etc.

I'd read more articles on here, do a search for "airbox" - "FWI" or "Intense FWI", see how many are truly happy vs. not and maybe go with the greater number and your gut feeling.

I've not understood why K & N or Volant, Air Raid, or another bigger cold air box maker has not made more that fit his and my Pontiac? There are at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions on the road, surely that's enough to warrant them building a cold air box? I had an impossible time finding a "better box" when I had a 2005 Monte Carlo LS as well....

I've had great luck with Volant for my 3 mid 90's GMC/Chevy trucks. Well made, not real expensive, was a true cold(er) air intake, did not require additional fitment, and the large filter a 4" diameter plastic tube let the engine breath very freely. Best $235 to $250 on all 3 trucks, just different model numbers.

Sorry, did not mean to hijack thread, just got to rambling.

I wish they did make them for Bonneville's. I don't see why they don't. I mean they make them for the Grand Prix's, but not the Bonneville? Maybe if I ever talk myself into getting a G8, I will pick up a K&N.

I guess I would have to see how they sound in person on an SE. Ive only seen/ heard the videos posted, and numerous on s/c cars.
