Thats what i figured. This is gonna drive me freaking nuts.
drove the car for about 60 miles taking care of things around town this evening and ran fine. Guess ill just have to carry a few extra tens with me and keep and eye on it.
Ill update if it blows again. Thank you everyone who helped. I wouldnt mark this as resolved just yet as i still havent found a short and i still need to check the oil pressure sending unit.
