the tuner reasoning write up (98 gs subject matter)

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

Kyle, you had to go and turn this into an interesting post now didn't you. i don't need any brain food because i'm emotionally bankrupt already.
But... I'm not sure I can resist.
I'll have to tune my GTP next week so I'm going to try that, I'll do a performance tune and a milage tune. Actually, I can't do a performance tune until I'm in Oregon or some cooler weather because its 100*F or more every day now, darn Arizona summers. its 94*F now at 9:40 PM.
I can test the timing thing during my trip to Oregon for WCBF because it takes me several tanks of gas to do the round trip.
of course, I apologize for the hijack but the price of gas is going down the crapper like it did last year. I spent $860.00 in gasoline last year doing that trip... 10 days $860.00 I don't want to do that again this year.
Of course I believe Obamanation is much too weak as a president to do anything about it., same as Bush last year. I so hope Obama proves me wrong... just once.. [-o<
Hijack over.
If you run leaner then my brain is telling me that you'd have to run less timing or your cylinder heads will be critically hot.
also.. i wonder if I'd get better milage if I had an EGR? I bet it would.
Because I'm changing my LIM, Intercooler, blower etc I have the opetunity to nstall a fully operational EGR for the first time since 2005.
I wonder... :bhuh:
