Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.
What is this stuff that keeps reappearing on the inside of my fuel door, Mold? I clean it all the time and it keeps coming back I also have it in the rain channel around the trunk seal. How do I get rid of this for good? Thanks
sorry for the poor cell phone pictures, I was at the gas station and was in a hurry.
there is a small weep hole in the bottom of the housing, this allows grime to get in from the wheelwells. if you dont clean the inside of the gas door, and the insides of all doors and trunk for that matter, it wont take long for it to get dirty.
clean all the crevaces you cant see the next time you wash it
Hmmm...you both have white cars with this issue. My car is Light Bronzemist Metallic - I do NOT have this issue at all. It gets a bit dirty, but it doesn't look like mold the way yours does. Paint problem perhaps?
Anyone with a non-white car see this issue?

I noticed it too. But I wash inside the gas door, inside of the doors and the trunk rain channel when I wash the car anyway. I thought it was odd that it's always dirtier in there than the rest of the car.
