Brake calipers
Brake calipers
Ok folks I’ve got all 4 wheels off and I’m looking at the rear calipers. Haven’t run into this issue before. The caliper has only one visible slide bolt on the bottom. Where the upper bolt head should be is what looks like a cap that has a rubber plug in the middle. Is this some sort of dust cap? I put a pair of channel locks on it to see if it would come off and couldn’t get it to budge. Is there a way to add images to my post?
Re: Brake calipers
Ok learned that the bonneville’s rear calipers are “hinged” for lack of a better word. Found a YouTube vid on rear brake service for the 6cyl version. Brake bleeders need replacing on all 4 due to heavy corrosion. Not looking forward to it.

Re: Brake calipers
These aren't expensive or complicated TBH... It's also a much better/simpler designed system from a maintenance perspective than what Chrysler uses on some vehicles.
