Chat about all things Bonneville (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Kids around here are too busy putting stickers and loud mufflers on their junkyard Hondas to notice an SSEi about to blow their multicolored doors off. That was one of the things that put the big grin on my face every time I drove it. They have no idea. Cept for the lucky kid I sold it to. The Grand Prix seems to suffer all the abuse in this area, while the older crowd prefers the Bonneville.

I looked up the vehicle history on notcarfax. I appear to be the 5th owner, 4th officially. The original owner had it until 2013 and put 144k on it. It was sold again at 149k, and the last time says exempt, though I suspect it was at or near 160k, since the last guy that never turned the title in hardly drove it. He (3rd owner) sold it for $2k so I doubt he was the one that put the expensive new head on it.

You might be right, I'm still waiting to hear back from the shop on whether the transmission is burnt up on it.
